Chronology of cameras Kiev

Traduction de Manuel M

This sort of Zenit-E “frog which wants to be done so big as the beef”*, with the format 6 x 6 is a reflex camera (format 120), which explains its plumpness.
With looking at it one finds it wobbly because its viewfinder/prism is… big and its cocking lever appears as for him, very small. The accessory shoe seems came out of a painting of Picasso, abstract period.
The 60 TTL is the modification of the 6C TTL. This one had its release button with left hand. With the 60 TTL, it returns to a more orthodox position. To pass from left to orthodox, Russia was changing.

The 6C TTL was itself a Kiev 6C rigged out of a prism containing a TTL cell. All that brings back us to the beginning of the years 70, which undoubtedly explains the look very “Zenit-E”. It also has a resemblance to Pentacon 6, of which it can share the lenses.

* Note of the translator: Reference to Jean de la Fontaine, French fabulist (1621-1695), taking in scene animals in its fables, inspired of the graeco-latin antique fabulists, in particular of Esope.
